Super balsa BANDIT

This is BV's new Super balsa Bandit.

ProMark can supply the paint masks for the lettering if others would like
to apply this scheme to your model. The light colored stripe on the fuse side is silver paint.

The wings and tail planes have only very minor changes from the original balsa Bandit. The fuse, inlets, hatches etc. are all new and much better, easier to assemble and there is more room inside.

All fiberglass parts are finished in grey primer. Hatches have plywood framework factory installed.

Standard fin version

We have added a balsa built-up standard fin as an option to the swept fin for those that prefer the F-5ish look.

High Altitude Success

The slightly larger wings and stabs along with the lightness of a balsa built-up structure add up to a lightly loaded jet. Extra large landing flaps are also part of the design to allow this sharp looking sport jet to operate safely at model fields that are 5,000 to 7,000+ ft. above sea level.

Couple it with JetCat P-70 or P-80 power

and you will have a medium to high performance jet that has excellent aerobatic qualities and slow, slow landings. Its 3-1/2 Litre fuel system will allow 12-14 minute flights of pure jet aerobatic enjoyment.

The precision of the laser and CNC machine cut parts and an intense instruction manual and plans package offer a very rewarding experience to those who enjoy the building part of our hobby. The balsa structures are of course reinforced with light plywood and carbon fiber for a maximum strength-to-weight ratio that can be film covered or accept a glass cloth / resin and paint finish.
