BVM welcomes Darryl Tarr to our
prestigious team of field reps.

Growing up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) during the 60's and 70's was tough at times as the country was under international sanctions and a civil war. As enthusiastic aeromodelers we would build our own chuck gliders, control line, and radio control airplanes largely from scratch.
At the age of fourteen I placed first in the Rhodesian National Model Aircraft Championships for FAI Combat Junior, and third place for FAI Combat Open.
My introduction to BVM models was in 1994 when I built the F-16 with a BVM VioFan unit and BVM 91R. My selection in BVM products came about after many previous unsuccessful and frustrating attempts with ducted fan models from other manufactures.
I have never looked back when it comes to BVM's superior quality and performance. No other ducted fan model could cope with the high altitudes, low atmospheric pressures, and high ambient temperatures that are typically associated with Southern Africa weather. I actually still have this model today and continue to fly it several times a year.
I am currently living and working in the Middle East (Dubai), where I am an Airline Pilot (Boeing 777 Captain) for Emirates Airline.
To me BVM is the pinnacle of modeling products and manufacturing techniques. Besides, there is no substitute for experience. Today I continue to build and fly several BVM turbine powered models.
It is a great honor and privilege to be part of BVM's Field Representative Team.
