Sabre/Fury EVF Operation

Because the Sabre/Fury has a smaller inlet opening and long internal ducting, the power system is working a bit harder than an Electra.  This causes an increase in motor temperature during prolonged high power usage.  This is especially of concern when the ambient temperatures is above  80° F.  To keep the motor temperature safely within the proper operating range (below 250°F), we recommend setting the E.S.C. timing to "Standard".  This applies to  all EVF  power systems.  Prior to November 1, 2009, all of these EVF units were factory set to "High" timing.
This E.S.C. "Standard Timing" along with the normal electric jet throttle management technique to maximize flight time will provide reliable and commanding performance.
To change the E.S.C. timing requires the use of a Castle Link and downloadable software.  Instructions come with the "Link" and BVM is here if you need assistance.
