Battery News
Good news for EVF 4010 and 5012 users!

The ThunderPower 45c LiPo's are the absolute best battery technology for 2010 and are applicable to early BVM EVF's.  Since the EVF 4010 and 5012 utilize the same Neutronics motors but, with a slight adjustment of timing (to low) for the 4010 units, both of these systems will perform very well on a 10s configuration of the 45c batteries.
Your model will have increased power and longer flight times.  The 45c batteries are available in 6500 mAh capacity and 76000 mAh capacity.  The 6500 batteries are configured as (2) 5s 2p packs which are installed as Saddle Cells, one each side of the EVF.
The 6500's and the larger 7600 mAh batteries are also configured as (2) 4s 2p packs and (1) 2s2p packs.  The photo series below describes the installation of the (2) 4s and (1) 2s 7600's in an Electra.  Of course, the 6500's in this same configuration fit in similarly.

A 4s pack fits either side of tailpipe.  Adhesive backed Velcro retains pack to battery shelf. Both packs fit comfortably.  A Power Plug 3 is required.
Prepare this area to receive the 2s pack.  A balsa shim is glued to ducting, Zap finished and Velcro capped. The 2s pack is also secured with a Velcro strap and all batteries are series connected to the EVF with a Power Plug 3.

Note:  a 1/8" push in on the tailpipe (both sides) does not detract from performance.

Note:  Expect 6 minute flights (Electra) with the 45c 6500 mAh 10s system.  Expect 7+ minute flights (Electra) with the 45c 7600 mAh 10s system.
